Enchanted Annual Charity Fashion Show 2013

Our third annual charity fashion show Enchanted was a huge success! With two performances for the very first time, the night was bigger, better, and more exciting than ever before! The show consisted of choreographed dance scenes and catwalks, each showcasing a clothing line from a generous sponsor or the work of our own very talented fashion designers.

Fashion for Change consists of over one hundred students who volunteer their time, showing passion and dedication throughout the year. Together, our members strive to make a difference in the world while expressing themselves artistically through many avenues. From our very first event in Fall term to our fashion show in the Spring, it is thanks to all of our models, executives and directors that we are able to make it all happen. Thank you to all of our amazing and talented members, to our generous sponsors, and to everyone who came out to see the show! We couldn’t have done it without you!

All proceeds will be donated to Free the Children’s Adopt a Village campaign, and our adopted communities of Makeni and Magburaka in Sierra Leone. Last year, we raised $12,000 for our village of Moyamba. Our goal was to surpass this amount! Stay tuned to find out how much we raised…

Fashion for Change /noun/ 1: A student-run organization consisting of directors, executives and models who come together to do what they love and make a difference in the world. 2: An outlet for all types of artistic expression; a welcoming and supportive group, fostering friendship, learning & personal growth. 3: Your family away from home.

Model /noun/ 1: Anyone and everyone who is passionate, outgoing, and enthusiastic!
2: Someone who is excited to learn (and rock) new dance moves while simultaneously making the world a better place. No dancing or modelling experience necessary!

Executive /noun/ 1: A member of the behind-the-scenes action. 2: One who uses their unique skill set to help Fashion for Change reach their goals of engaging the student community, fundraising for Free the Children, and being amazing in general.

Fashion for Change is currently looking for students who are interested in being a part of our 2013 Annual Charity Fashion Show! If you are interested in fashion, dance, or even if you’re just looking to meet new people, we have a place for you. An amazing experience awaits – join us in celebrating artistic expression and aiding our partner, Free the Children, in creating a brighter future for children in need!

Cover to Cover Annual Charity Fashion Show

Our Annual Charity Fashion Show – Cover to Cover was a tremendous success! It was a night celebrating artistic expression within our club and the UW campus including breathtaking dance routines, beautiful fashion runways and awe-inspiring singing. Over 130 students volunteered countless hours in preparation for the sold out show of over 700 seats. Along with the many events held throughout the year, we were able to raise $12,000 for the Free the Children Adopt a Village campaign!

Furthermore, Fashion for Change was chosen by Free the Children as one of the recipients of this year’s Big Dreamers Award! As the winners of this prestigious award, our fundraising total has been increased by $5000, for a total donation of $17,000!!

All of the money raised will be going toward our sponsored village, Moyamba, Sierra Leone, to help improve the quality of healthcare and water in order to rebuild their community.

Thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers who have been tirelessly supporting Fashion for Change all year long and to all our sponsors – We couldn’t have done it without you!

Lastly, thank you to all those who came out to see our show; we hope you enjoyed your night and we can’t wait to see you in the crowd again next year!
