A Message From Our President
I am incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to serve as the President for Fashion for Change 2018.
I would like to take this time to thank the past presidents, models, executives, directors, volunteers, sponsors, and clubs who have dedicated their time, effort, and talent to our ongoing success as an organization.
Fashion for Change begins its 8th year of providing a creative and collaborative community to the students at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. It is a place where individuals come together to showcase their talents through artistic avenues, while raising awareness of global issues through our strong partnership with WE Charity. With your ongoing support and commitment, Fashion for Change has been able to support WE Charity’s “WE Villages” campaign by funding education for the village of Moyamba, Sierra Leone. We stand strongly with WE Charity’s campaign and their international development model to address the causes of poverty with holistic and sustainable solutions, with education being one of the five pillars.
Through your generous support, Fashion for Change is proud to have donated over $97,000 to this day. Over the past years, we have been able to see significant changes in the lives of the children affected by civil war through the rehabilitation and construction of Moyamba.
Each year, we dare to dream bigger, to provide a stronger education system, purified drinking water and sanitation, to help create sustainable sources of income, accessible healthcare and food security.
On behalf of Fashion for Change, I would like to take this moment to personally thank each and every one of you. Without your generosity, our success would not be possible.
Please follow our social media outlets for information about our upcoming events and our Annual Charity Fashion Show that is taking place on March 10th, 2018!
